A Good Practice Guide for Community Food InitiativesMinister Pat Carey, T.D launched HFfA's A Good Practice Guide for Community Food Initiatives in St. Andrew's Resource Centre on Monday 18th October 2010. Dr. Eddie Rooney (Public Health Agency) and Ursula O'Dwyer (National Nutrition Advisor to the Department of Health & Children) both spoke at the all-island event. Celebrity chef, Rozanne Stevens, delivered a cookery demonstration. The Guide, funded by the Social Inclusion Division in the Department of Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs and Department of Health and Children, Ireland, will be available free of charge to all CFIs across the island of Ireland. The Guide is split into 2 sections. Section A offers advice on how to set up and manage a Community Food Initiative, including:
