Our Development Worker recently enjoyed a warm welcome from Cloughmills in Antrim. The highlight of the visit was attending a module of their Social & Therapeutic Horticulture 8-week course on how to use nature around us to nurture ourselves.
Cloughmills Community Action Team celebrated its first ever ‘Food for Thought’ festival recently.
Residents of Dolphin’s Barn and Rialto in Dublin celebrated the official opening of Flanagan’s Fields Community Garden and Geodesic Grow Dome on 20th September.

Our Community Development Worker enjoyed a fabulous visit to Mayo North East.
Gortin had a very successful community day on 14th August. They enjoyed pond dipping, biodiversity hunts as well as harvesting food. The community enjoyed a cookery demonstration that taught local people how to cook tasty stir-fry’s using lots of produce from their fabulous community garden.
Our Development Worker recently attended a very fancy garden party in St. Patrick’s Senior National School in Corduff, Blanchardstown!
Ballybeg Community Development Project awarded certificates to participants who completed the HSE Cook It! course and to the children who took part in their Family Gardening Project on 30th June.
We held one of our programme networking events in Windsor Women’s Centre in Belfast on 25th June. The event was another opportunity to network with and learn from each others experiences and challenges.
Change Community Garden, which is coordinated by Doras Bui in Coolock, had the official opening of their amazing garden on Thursday 22nd May. It was a real celebration of the work done so far to transform the site into the vibrant community garden it is today.
